Around January 2008, I decided that I wanted to start my own direct sales jewelry business. You see, I had been selling a product I love for the last 4 years, but I wasn't making any money. I wasn't happy with the commission structure and the hostess rewards could have been better, but overall, I was fairly content. The scrapbooking business was certainly fun and a great creative outlet, but not one I felt was luctrative. As I began my search, I had already decided, wel in advance, that it could not be a costume jewelry company. Don't get me wrong, companies such as Lia Sophia and the like have good compensation plans, but personally, I didn't want to invest in jewelry that weren't meant to last for a lifetime. Sterling Silver was my 1st choice.
So the Sterling search was on.
